crafting with toddy

Happy Sunday! My in-laws (Toddy and Donner!) spent the weekend with us and yesterday we did some family crafting! Toddy had some “motor accessories” (he explained it multiple times but I still don’t know what they are) for his motorcycle that had black leather on them, but his current seats are white, so he wanted to replace the black leather with white. It wasn’t too hard; we just took the old leather strap out, snapped the tie holding the metal circle in place, removed all the black leather, and then reassembled it with the white leather pieces we made. The hardest part was getting that knot in the front to look right! (There were multiple slits we had to cut in the strap portion and then loop it through itself a few times so that it looked just like the old one.)

Here’s the before pic:

ImageYup, we put it all back in the box when we were done, to make it look legit. =P It was fun and they turned out great! Thanks for crafting with me Toddles!

You’re an official biker chick now!! 🙂 You’re going to do great at the bike shows doing leather work for all the rough and tough bikers (like me). Really, thanks for all your help. I couldn’t have done it without you.
